Certified Doctors

Dr. Christopher Dannaker is a board certified dermatologist. He completed his residency at the University of California, San Diego and was also an overseas registrar at the renowned Institute of Dermatology, St. John’s Hospital for Diseases of the Skin in London. He is experienced in peforming liposculpture and was trained by Dr. Jeffry Klein, the dermatologist who is credited with developing the modern day tumescent liposuction technique.

Dr. Dannaker founded Monterey Liposculpture as a center of excellence focused on advanced liposuction procedures. Dr. Dannaker, although he embraces the newest technology, recognizes that to a great extent, a patient’s outcome depends on the skill and experience of the physician performing the procedure. This is why he and his board certified physician partner, are committed to personally performing all liposuction procedures. No part of any procedure at Monterey Liposculpture will ever be delegated to a non-physician. We take your care seriously. Dr. Dannaker, as a residency trained dermatologist, also feels that your procedure should best be peformed by a board certified core specialist such as a surgeon or dermatologist who also has experience in the procedure. Dr. Dannaker is uncompromising and unyielding in this regard and feels it is one of the facts that has always set his practice apart. He has been in practice for over 15 years and is grateful for the community support and referrals from patients and fellow physicians.

Position Statement

NON-PHYSICIAN PRACTICE OF MEDICINE
AND USE OF NON-PHYSICIAN OFFICE PERSONNEL

"The guiding principle for all dermatologic surgeons is to practice ethical medicine with the highest possible standards. Physicians should be properly trained in all procedures performed to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety. A physician should be fully qualified by residency training and preceptorship or appropriate course work. Training should include an extensive understanding of cutaneous medicine and surgery, the indications for each procedure, and the pre- and post-operative care involved in treatment. It is the position of the ASDS that only active and properly licensed doctors of medicine and osteopathy shall engage in the practice of medicine."
